Human Sexuality Blog
Today was the first day of my Psychology of Human Sexuality course. The professor only covered the syllabus, but because I want to get ahead, and not to mention the topic is interesting, I decided to start reading the first chapter of the textbook. I found out that the book, Human Sexuality: Personality and Social Psychological Perspectives, has a complimentary blog on blogspot. Although they only have 14 posts, I think the majority of them are interesting. Here is a sample of what they have on there:
- Does Early Abstinence Promote Later Mental Health?
- Body Shame Detracts from Sexual Enjoyment
- “I’ve Never Done This Before,” and “Was It As Good For You As It Was For Me?” Sex, Lies, and Whatever It Takes
- Sex in Cyber World
- Sex in Cyber World Becomes Sex in the Real World
For the complete list of posts, check out the blog itself at Updates in Human Sexuality. Remember, unlike popular media and books where anecdotes and conventional wisdom are discussed as truth, the Human Sexuality Blog actually has scientific evidence and research on the topics they discuss.
